Indication Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic derivative of Pleuromutilin. It is highly active against gram-positive organisms such as streptococci, staphylococci and against mycoplasmas and serpulina (Treponema) hyodysenteriae. A number of Shigella, Klebsiella and E. coli are also quite susceptible to this agent.

It acts bacteriostatically by inhibiting protein synthesis, binding to 70S ribosomes. It is primarily used for prevention and control of mycoplasmal diseases such as enzootic pneumonia and chronic respiratory disease in pigs and poultry, as well as swine dysentery and proliferative enteropathy.

• Do not use together with polyether ionophores such as Monensin, Salinomycin, etc.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
